Tank Recruitment is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of special purpose machinery and automated production equipment for a Midlands based client. The role will involve concept design, detailed design, and integration of mechanical systems within complex automated environments.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D design and detailing.
  • Experience designing special purpose machinery, automation equipment, and integrated systems.
  • Knowledge of machine build, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work closely with controls, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Experience producing engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in packaging, automotive, FMCG, or industrial automation sectors.
  • Hands-on support during machine build, commissioning, and installation phases.
