The OpportunityWe\’re on the lookout for an experienced farm worker to join this well-run dairy farm situated in Temuka. The role offers genuine variety — lots of tractor work, assisting with milking and general farm operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Tractor work — topping, sowing, spreading, spraying and cultivation
- Feeding out silage, baleage, or hay
- Spreading mineral supplements
- Assisting with dairy operations, milking up to 700 cows
- Supporting calving and ensuring the health of newborn calves
- Supporting the team during the busiest season (July – December)
- Maintaining farm equipment, infrastructure, laneways and tracks
- Adhering to farm safety and compliance standards
Role Requirements
- Minimum 2 years\’ experience in tractor work (stock work experience an advantage)
- Strong English and communication skills
- Good attitude, willingness to learn and take feedback
- Physically fit and healthy
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Full vehicle license
- Visa that allows you to work for the same employer for 6 months
