NZCL are looking for energetic and motivated people to support our clients in residential service in Rangiora.

We are looking for permanent, full-time night shift Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor rangitahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services in Rangiora.

What does a Support Worker do? – He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko?

Our Support Workers assist rangitahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community.

You will:

  • work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.
  • support tamariki or rangitahi to go to school or access education.
  • observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
  • support rangitahi/young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.

Who are we looking for? – Ko wai ta tatou e rapu ana?

  • A desire to support our rangitahi/young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
  • Previous experience working with young people/rangitahi
  • An understanding of intellectual disability and autism
  • Creativity \’out of the box\’ thinking and a team player
  • A full NZ driver\’s licence
