NZCL is looking for energetic and motivated people to support individuals in their own homes. We are looking for permanent, full-time night shift Support Workers to help the people we support in our Christchurch Residential Services.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and helping them do the things they want to do, such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks, and teaching life skills. The list is endless!

Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support, with the potential for additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualification
  • People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours
  • Full driver's licence is essential
  • Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends
  • Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
