What will you do?

We are seeking a Senior Advisor to provide support in Fire and Emergency Management. This role is responsible for ensuring all villages have compliant, fit-for-purpose fire safety and emergency management systems, procedures, equipment, and training. You will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement best practices, respond to incidents, and drive continuous improvement. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating and help resolve issues in relation to fire safety and emergency response
  • Actively supporting and participating in incident / emergency responses when required
  • Providing debriefing activities for evaluation of disaster exercises and unplanned events to develop improvement plans as required
  • Supporting Ryman villages to complete warden training, fire evacuation drills, and the associated documentation to maintain their evacuation schemes
  • Conducting assessments of regional risk profiles and work with villages to ensure they are trained and prepared for relevant emergency situations
  • Providing monthly reporting to our H&S committee
