The Role: As a Project Engineer – Mechanical, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of ground-mounted solar EPC projects. Based on-site in Christchurch, you’ll oversee construction activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise site preparation, mechanical installation, and commissioning activities
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to meet project timelines
- Monitor site safety, quality control, and environmental compliance
- Report progress and resolve technical challenges during construction
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
What you need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related
- Minimum 4 years of experience in civil/construction engineering with mandatory experience in solar projects
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of mounting structures, cabling, inverters, transformers, and other solar plant components
