We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager of Livestock Supply to lead our livestock procurement and Farmer relationship program. Reporting to the MD, this role covers a range of responsibilities including:

  • Setting and progressing our farmer relationship and livestock procurement strategy
  • Managing our livestock procurement
  • Liaising with our farmers to manage and enhance our livestock supply
  • Taking an active role with our wider Industry and regulatory authorities

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • As an experienced strategic leader, you’ll create strong relationships through effective communication across our business, our farmers, and our wider industry.
  • You’ll lead our livestock procurement program to ensure we have appropriate quality supply that meets our market requirements.
  • This will require effective collaboration with our internal supply chain team, our farmer suppliers, as well as industry experts.
  • You’ll be responsible for Supply Compliance programs, including the maintenance of our Code of Practice, the management of the PigCare program, and oversight of other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Your commercial aptitude will enable the modelling and analysis of our supply, to support effective decision making around supply requirements and contractual agreements.
  • The ability to think ahead to evolve and deliver a strategy that supports the long-term viability and sustainability of our business and our wider value chain.
  • You’ll be a self-starter with a good sense of humour, who wants to make a positive impact.
