Take ownership of payroll & management accounts in a flexible, hybrid role 30 hours per week — set your own schedule (just be available on payroll days). Will make themselves available to work from home & office. Looking for variety, flexibility, and the ability to work where you work best? We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a respected accounting and advisory firm based in Hastings. This is a fantastic hybrid opportunity for an experienced management accountant or bookkeeper to take ownership of key financial functions while enjoying the balance of in-office and remote work.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Running payroll (twice monthly) on the 16th
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Gathering and reporting monthly KPI data
  • Assisting with annual budget preparation
  • Bank reconciliations and processing online payments
  • Debtor management and follow-up
  • Providing general administrative support when required

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or management accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and APS (or quick to learn)
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and great with deadlines
  • Self-starter who communicates well and works independently
  • Comfortable working both onsite and from home

Location: Hastings-based office + work-from-home flexibility

Hours: Approx. 30 hours per week - you choose the days, but must be available for payroll on the 16th & 31st (or previous business day)
