We're excited to be recruiting a Production Manager for a leading manufacturing company in South Wales who are going through a new period of growth. This is a newly created role where you will have the opportunity to make a big impact.
This is a hands-on role centred on production planning, team leadership, and maintaining consistent output. You will oversee scheduling, address issues as they come up, and ensure targets are achieved without sacrificing quality or safety.
Duties- Oversee and coordinate daily production operations to ensure delivery targets are consistently achieved
- Create and manage production schedules to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow across all departments
- Track output and performance, using data to highlight opportunities for improvement
- Address operational challenges promptly to minimise disruption and keep production on track
- Prepare performance reports and provide regular updates to senior leadership
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimise waste
- Ensure all products meet required quality standards and specifications
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment in line with company policies and procedures
- Manage and support production teams, including shift planning, task allocation, and performance oversight
- Develop team capability through coaching and ongoing support to meet business goals
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across operations
- Experience in a similar role, e.g. Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager
- Experience of creating a full production schedule and delivering from it
- Project management experience
