Tangible is a fast-growing, tech-driven platform providing liquidity solutions to LPs and GPs in the private-markets secondaries space. By combining deep sector expertise with modern infrastructure, we unlock liquidity across private equity, private credit, and real assets, transforming the industry and enabling investors to move faster and smarter.
We are looking for a Platform Engineer/SRE to own Tangible’s cloud infrastructure, system reliability, and core platform services. This role goes beyond traditional DevOps. You will be responsible for availability, scalability, and resilience, while also building and maintaining core internal services in Python and Node.js that enable product teams to move fast and safely.
Responsibilities- Own and operate Tangible’s AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Act as the primary owner of system uptime, incident response, and reliability engineering.
- Design and maintain infrastructure as code and automated environments.
- Build and maintain core internal platform services used by engineering teams.
- Develop backend services and tooling using Python and Node.js, or other programming languages.
- Define and enforce SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, monitoring, alerting).
- Support internal developers with deployment workflows, tooling, and platform abstractions.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and long-term prevention strategies.
- Improve observability, security, and operational maturity across all systems.
- Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, QA, and product teams.
- Own the long-term evolution of Tangible’s platform as the company scales.
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (compute, networking, storage, IAM, monitoring).
- Proven experience maintaining high-availability production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js (or other relevant programming languages), with experience building production services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automation.
- Deep understanding of monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response.
- Strong systems, networking, and reliability fundamentals.
- Ability to support and enable internal development teams.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g. Cursor AI).
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment, taking ownership during high-impact situations.
This role is for engineers who think in systems, own reliability end-to-end, and prefer building platforms and guardrails rather than manually operating infrastructure. If you meet the requirements above you’re excited to shape the future of private markets and work alongside a brilliant team of engineers, ex-bankers, and startup superstars, we’d love to hear from you.
