The Role

We’re looking for a HR Director to lead our HR strategy and drive initiatives that support our ambitious growth plans. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll work closely with the Managing Director, Group Chairman, and divisional leaders to deliver a comprehensive HR strategy that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and deliver a group-wide HR strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Position Tangerine as an Employer Brand of Choice through engagement programmes.
  • Oversee the full recruitment process and coach managers on best practices.
  • Lead learning and development initiatives, including establishing an internal ‘Academy’.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and maintain updated policies.
  • Manage employee relations, performance reviews, and engagement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback and performance management systems.
  • Benchmark compensation and benefits annually and make recommendations.
  • Support leadership development and training programmes.
  • Collaborate on health and safety compliance and training.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in senior HR leadership (Director, Head of HR, or HRBP level).
  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification (Level 7 preferred).
  • Strong track record in change management and strategic delivery.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
