Join Tangent’s commercial team. Tangent is looking for ambitious entry-level talent to join our commercial team and help more companies hire talented people from socially diverse backgrounds. This is a role working directly for Tangent. You will help us grow by identifying companies that could benefit from hiring through our platform, starting conversations with decision-makers and building a pipeline of future customers. You do not need previous sales experience or a degree. We are looking for people who are curious, resilient, motivated by our mission and excited to learn.

We connect jobseekers with industry expert mentors who volunteer their time to support people with CVs, applications, interview preparation, industry advice and salary negotiation guidance. What you’ll do: As a Sales Development Representative, you will play an important role in Tangent’s growth. Your work will include:
- Finding potential customers - Research companies that could benefit from Tangent’s services, especially those hiring early-career talent or looking to reach more diverse candidates.
- Starting conversations - Reach out to potential customers through cold calls, email, LinkedIn and other channels.
- Qualifying opportunities - Understand each company’s hiring needs and assess whether Tangent could be a strong fit.
- Building relationships - Develop relationships with people in talent, recruitment, people, commercial and leadership teams.
- Managing your pipeline - Track your outreach, conversations and opportunities in our CRM.
- Working with the team - Collaborate with sales, marketing and partnerships to improve our outreach, messaging and growth strategy.
- Learning the market - Build your understanding of hiring trends, social mobility, recruitment technology and the wider future of work.
