Chief Marketing Officer
Join a market-leading company in the financial technology space and play a pivotal role in defining and executing its global marketing strategy. We are seeking a dynamic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the marketing organisation, align it with the company’s broader strategic goals, and drive operational execution to accelerate growth. This is a rare opportunity to join the executive leadership team of a financially stable, high-growth business at the forefront of fraud prevention and authentication technology.
Position Summary
As CMO, you will be responsible for developing and leading the company’s global marketing strategy, building a high-performing team, and ensuring marketing plays a central role in the company’s commercial success. Your focus will include driving new customer acquisition, expanding the value of the existing client base, and elevating the company’s brand in a competitive, data-driven market.
Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the executive leadership team, this role requires a hands-on, strategic leader who can influence across all levels of the business. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, sales, finance, and operations to drive alignment and results.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a commercially minded marketing executive with deep experience in B2B technology, preferably within financial services, fraud prevention, financial crime, or adjacent sectors such as risk, identity verification, or cybersecurity. You bring a proven ability to scale marketing functions, develop demand generation programmes, and position complex technology products in regulated and competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Marketing Strategy: Own and evolve the company’s marketing strategy, aligning with growth objectives across retention and new business.
- Demand Generation: Lead multi-channel lead generation strategies that deliver consistent, high-quality pipeline growth in support of sales goals.
- Product & Portfolio Marketing: Partner with product and commercial teams to deliver content and collateral that enable sales and support go-to-market efforts.
- Brand & Communications: Oversee the company’s external messaging, PR, and brand identity to ensure consistency, clarity, and market relevance.
- Marketing Operations: Define and track performance KPIs, manage the marketing budget, and ensure marketing programmes are scalable and efficient.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner across the business, particularly with sales, product, and customer success, to ensure integrated execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 12+ years of senior marketing leadership experience in a B2B tech environment, ideally within fraud prevention, financial crime, fintech, or adjacent regulated markets.
- Proven success in leading demand generation programmes that drive measurable revenue growth and strong ROI.
- Deep experience positioning technical products in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling marketing functions, especially in high-growth or PE-backed businesses.
- Strong leadership credentials with a track record of hiring, managing, and developing high-impact marketing teams.
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically — a hands-on operator who balances vision with delivery.
