Tang Hall Primary School are looking for a lead professional who can work within the School Senior Leadership Team as a School Reintegration Worker and Social and Emotional Learning Lead from January 2027. The main purpose of this role will be to work with children, families and school staff to support children who are finding it challenging to work within a mainstream setting.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting children who are most vulnerable due to adversity they have faced in their childhood. The children you will be working with may have ADHD or other neuro diverse needs. They may have communication and language needs and/or SEMH needs. Often our children who face barriers in the classroom have experience of early trauma and may have fallen behind age related expectations in their learning.
We are looking for a professional who has the skills and experience to carry out holistic support for the pupil and their family. You will need to show an understanding of individual pupil’s diverse learning needs and have experience of successfully supporting children and families. You should be able to make robust plans and communicate these clearly. You should possess the skills needed to coach class teachers and TAs in implementing strategies to support children to integrate successfully within the mainstream classroom. You should have experience of multi-agency work.
