Tanfield is seeking an ambitious graduate or early-career marketing professional to join us as a Marketing and Digital Legal Content Executive. This is a varied and influential role within a leading specialist barristers' chambers. Working directly with our CEO, barristers, senior practice managers and an experienced marketing consultant, you will help shape and deliver Tanfield's marketing, digital content and communications strategy. The role offers considerable variety and scope to develop. Depending on your interests and strengths, you could work across written legal content, podcasts and video, social media, events, legal directories, website development and brand campaigns. You do not need to arrive with experience in every area; we are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, initiative and an appetite to learn.

Person Specification: The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent writing and organisational skills. They will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and will bring creativity and initiative to the role.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Outstanding communication skills including copywriting, editing and proofreading
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience using website content management systems
  • Marketing experience (not necessarily in a legal environment)
  • Knowledge of WordPress
  • Experience producing, editing and publishing digital content
  • Experience of podcast, webinar or video content production

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage content across our website, social media channels and other digital platforms
  • Lead and coordinate digital content projects, including articles, podcasts, webinars and video content
  • Organise seminars, webinars, conferences and client events
  • Manage legal directory and awards submissions
  • Assist with brand development, marketing collateral and business development initiatives
  • Support Tanfield's recruitment and pupillage marketing activities
  • Monitor marketing performance and identify opportunities to develop Tanfield's profile and reach
