Are you a compassionate, skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) looking for complete control over your working schedule?

We are recruiting experienced agency RMNs to support NHS Trusts, private mental health facilities, and community facilities across the UK. Whether you are looking for local ad-hoc shifts to supplement your income or full-time nationwide block bookings with travel, we offer flexible work options tailored to your needs.

As an Agency RMN, you will work across various settings including Acute Inpatient, PICU, CAMHS, Rehabilitation, and Community Mental Health Teams delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care & Assessment: Conduct robust mental health assessments, monitor patient wellbeing, and deliver person-centred care plans.

  • Medication Administration: Safely administer, record, and manage prescribed medications in compliance with NMC guidelines.

  • De-escalation & Safety: Utilise positive behaviour support and physical/verbal de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours safely.

  • Teamwork & Leadership: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and comfortably lead shifts when required.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical records in line with information governance standards.

  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Mental Health Act, Capacity Act, safeguarding protocols, and NMC Code of Conduct.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registration: Valid, active NMC Pin as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of post-qualification UK experience in a mental health setting.

  • Training: Up-to-date Mandatory Training and PMVA / MAPA / Restraint Training certificate (or willingness to complete prior to start).

  • Clearances: Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).

  • Skills: Excellent communication, emotional resilience, crisis intervention skills, and adaptability to new ward environments.
