We are seeking a Procurement Assistant to support the Council’s Procurement Team, ensuring all purchasing and contracting activities comply with legal and financial regulations, deliver value for money, and reflect best practice across the organisation.
As a Procurement Assistant you will provide administrative, analytical and organisational support across a range of procurement activities, working closely with Council Officers, suppliers and stakeholders to manage competing priorities and ensure smooth procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities- Support end‑to‑end procurement administration and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain contract records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate procurement meetings, documentation and action tracking.
- Prepare tender evaluation materials and manage e‑procurement system activities.
- Handle supplier and internal queries, FOI requests and procurement reporting.
- Monitor procurement legislation and support process improvements.
- Provide general support for the local government reorganisation process.
