We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking GIS and digital systems professional to play a pivotal role in transforming how the Council uses geographic information and digital planning tools. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the modernisation, standardisation and strategic development of our GIS capability at a time of significant digital change within Planning and the wider organisation. This post is offered as a fixed‑term contract for 18 months, providing a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact through a defined programme of strategic digital change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the decommissioning of the iShare platform, delivering a secure replacement and managing data, workflow and system migration.
- Work with IT and stakeholders to ensure continuity, risk management and safe infrastructure decommissioning.
