About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual to join our supportive HR team as a Part-Time HR Support Officer. This varied and rewarding role provides essential administrative support to the HR Officer, HR Business Partners and wider HR function, including payroll. You will play a key role in ensuring a professional, efficient and responsive HR service for employees, managers and prospective candidates. You will be involved in a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment and onboarding, training administration, payroll support, performance management, employee relations and HR reporting. As a first point of contact for HR enquiries, you will provide helpful advice and support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your HR knowledge and administrative skills within a collaborative team environment, where your contribution will make a real difference in supporting the Council as a great place to work.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven administrative and some payroll experience.
- Has experience working in a confidential environment and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and numeracy.
- Has excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Is highly organised and able to work independently using their own initiative.
- Enjoys working as part of a small team and is flexible in supporting colleagues when needed.
- Can effectively prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines.
- Has strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing a high-quality service.
