This is an exciting time to join us where no two days are the same. Working across our housing and corporate property portfolio, you will have a varied and rewarding role, including:
- Managing contracts and overseeing maintenance, repair and improvement works.
- Conducting property inspections, condition surveys and energy audits.
- Preparing specifications, drawings, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, including the Social Housing Act 2024.
- Providing technical advice and documentation to support legal and estate teams.
This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact role where your expertise will directly improve the safety, sustainability and quality of homes and spaces across our district.
Who We’re Looking For
- A degree or equivalent in Building Surveying, recognised by CIOB or RICS.
- Strong experience in building surveying and contract management.
- Exceptional knowledge of building structures, services, construction procurement and the Consumer Standards (Social Housing Act 2024).
- A proactive, customer‑focused approach with strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management systems and CAD software.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- RICS professional membership.
- Experience in local authority or public sector property management.
- Experience in either fire, gas, electrics or roofing speciality.
