Job Title: Underwriter (Motor Finance)Salary: up to £28,000 and up to 20% bonus and benefits

Location: Hybrid work from our Cardiff offices (Wednesdays and Thursdays in office), during the initial training period you may need to be in the office slightly more often.

After your initial training period, you'll be added to the below rota pattern, which includes weekend work and the option to work bank holidays

Working

Pattern: 36.25 hours per week, main shift 09.00-17.00, one week in four you will work 10.00-18.00Weekend

Work: You will need to work one weekend in four, with a lieu day for the Saturday the week before and a lieu day for the Sunday the week after.

These are all rota'd out so you'll have plenty of notice for what your shift pattern will look like

Reporting to the Underwriting Team Leaders and Underwriting Manager, the Underwriter will be accountable for the achievement of short, medium and long-term plans to ensure that lending activities meet customer needs & regulatory requirements and individual conduct rules, as well as achievement of the agreed business KPI metrics.

They will accurately assess and manage all lending opportunities to effectively decide in line with company policies and procedures, ensuring we deliver robust affordability, sustainability, credit worthiness and positive customer outcomes.

  • Experience in a similar role within a financial services lending environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to self-motivate and use own initiative to achieve individual target
  • Strong computer literacy including working experience on Microsoft Office
  • Some call centre or telephony support experience
  • Good document validation skills

It would be great, but not essential if you have
