We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our client's team. The role is primarily site-based in Corby, Northamptonshire, with approximately 30% of time spent visiting client sites across London and the South. There is potential for a hybrid working arrangement in the future, but the successful candidate must be comfortable spending time on-site and traveling to client locations.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new sales leads and opportunities, including:
- Passenger transport infrastructure projects (rail, bus, airport, transport interchanges)
- Development/construction projects (education, retail, commercial developments and regeneration projects)
- Major development projects and new sectors/markets
- Sales Process Management: Conduct product presentations, manage client enquiries, request quotations, and close sales.
- Site Surveys: Carry out site surveys to support quotation and sales order processes.
- Administration & Reporting: Update client records, track quotations, and monitor sales progress using company systems.
- Target Achievement: Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive, ideally within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting, persuading, and negotiating.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- High level of resilience and self-motivation in a competitive environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Professional and customer-focused attitude.
