Are you a finance professional with a keen eye for detail and a drive for process improvement? We are a leading global design and build firm seeking a motivated individual to join our regional team. This role is perfect for someone with over three years of experience looking to take a significant step up in their career within a fast-paced, international environment.
What you’ll deliver
- EMEA financial reporting and compliance. You will prepare monthly, quarterly, annual results in compliance with local regulations. You will also strengthen internal control and governance, be responsible for standardizing, automation and transaction processing in line with global standards and tailored to local requirements, as well as providing advisory support to the business as required.
How we’ll measure it
- Reporting: delivery of month end closing and accurate reports.
- Compliance: ensure all tax and compliance requirements are fulfilled, including calculations, record keeping and payments, on time and accurate.
- Ensure ongoing improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations, processes, deliverables, internal controls and team management as appropriate.
What you’re responsible for
- Providing assistance and responses to auditors and local accountants
- Balance sheet reconciliation review
- Month End reconciliation of intercompany balances
- Regional tax compliance filing reviews (VAT, CIS, RCT, WHT, EU sales)
- Review payment runs in conjunction with the cashflow forecasts
- Approval of payment runs and Alpha (bank payment) set up
- Provide support to the business for RFI submissions and compliance requests
- Assistance with external inspections
- Provide coverage for the Controller when they are on leave
- Support the Controller in carrying out day-to-day responsibilities.
- Ad hoc tasks as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent with finance related major
- Studying towards or a fully qualified accountant
Work experience
- Over three years’ finance experience would suit someone stepping up into their next role.
- Experience with a shared service centre advantageous.
Technical knowledge, skills or other requirements
- Strong commitment to excellent customer service and principles
- Understanding of Microsoft Office and finance applications including GL and payroll modules
