Cotswold Outdoor in Fort William is looking for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to head up one of our most iconic stores, serving a community of hillwalkers, ultra-marathoners, climbers, and explorers in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

Our Fort William location is a key destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering not only top-tier outdoor equipment, but trusted advice and expert services including:

• 3D Footscan and outdoor footwear fitting

• Rucksack fitting and protection services

• Personalised expedition and camping kit lists

• Club talks and kit support

• DDA accessibility and exclusive capsule collections including Arc’teryx

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading and developing a knowledgeable, passionate team

• Delivering a premium customer experience tailored to the needs of outdoor users

• Managing store operations including stock control, audits, banking, and performance tracking

• Driving sales through exceptional service, community engagement, and commercial focus

• Ensuring visual merchandising and seasonal campaigns are executed to brand standard

• Creating a store culture rooted in teamwork, expertise, and a love for the outdoors

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience managing a retail store (outdoor, apparel, or footwear sectors preferred)

• A genuine passion for the outdoors and strong knowledge of technical gear

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team

• A hands-on, proactive leadership style with a focus on delivering results

• Commercial acumen and a customer-first mindset
