The team advises major developers, lenders, and international contractors on renewable energy and infrastructure projects across multiple jurisdictions. With a strong track record in energy transition work, the practice is especially active in sectors such as clean energy, water, and transport. The team regularly acts on high-value, cross-border project development, construction, and financing mandates.
Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to hire a Senior Associate with experience in project development to join its infrastructure and energy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on market-shaping deals in a dynamic, supportive environment — offering a broad scope of work across project structuring, risk allocation, and transactional support.
Responsibilities:- Advise on the development and delivery of renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including water and PPP schemes.
- Draft, negotiate, and review key project documents such as EPC contracts, PPAs, and credit support packages.
- Provide strategic legal advice on project structuring, development risk, and finance considerations.
- Liaise with lenders and sponsors on project bankability and due diligence matters.
- Collaborate with international teams on cross-border mandates.
- Contribute to client development initiatives and internal knowledge sharing.
- Qualified lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent).
- 5+ years' post-qualification experience in project development law.
- Experience in private practice or in-house, ideally with exposure to energy, renewables, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly around EPCs, PPAs, and credit support instruments.
- Experience advising on construction and project documentation (FIDIC experience is advantageous).
- Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of risk allocation in infrastructure transactions.
- Comfortable managing client relationships and providing strategic advice with minimal supervision.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to contribute to broader team and client goals.
