Assembly Operative
Location: Wellingborough
Hours: Days
Basic Salary: £14.25 per hour
Responsibilities
- To carry out assembly and materials control
- To acquire the knowledge from the build manuals and skills for assembling and testing the complete size / range of components ensuring the necessary quality standards are achieved
- To assist in other production related tasks, when required by the line team leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department
- To assist Production engineering department in developing and maintaining assembly shop floor documentation & electronic documentation.
- To work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE
- To maintain all assembly tools and keep equipment in good working condition and keep the workstations tidy / organised in line with company housekeeping standards
- To assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products
Qualifications
- Good PC skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook
- Minimum 2 years’ experience assembly related work within high technology production / manufacturing company.
- Some formal training or, practical / theoretical knowledge of general engineering and / or assembling of electronic precision components.
