BASIC SALARY: £17.79 per hour

Company Profile

Our client is seeking a Tig Welder to join their friendly organisation based in Wellingborough on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work within a highly skilled and qualified welding team who use a variety of jigs, fixtures, welding plant and manipulators to assemble and weld a wide range of parts.

In this Tig Welder role, you will be responsible for:

  • To carry out all required welding work for all the necessary company products and parts.
  • To acquire the knowledge and qualifications for welding the complete range of products ensuring the necessary quality standards are achieved
  • To carry out basic assembly related work.
  • To assist in other production related talks, when required by the line Team Leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department
  • To assist Production engineering department in developing and maintaining assembly shop floor documentation
  • To work in accordance with Health and Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual Handling and PPE
  • Support customer inspection activity
  • To maintain all welding equipment/hand tools in good working condition and keep the welding bays tidy and organised in line with company housekeeping standards
  • To assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products
  • Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and fixtures as requested
  • To support continuous improvement activity and take an active role in implementation of improvements

To be successful as a Tig Welder you will have:

  • Proven experience in TIG welding
  • Experience of welder coding (not essential)
  • Experience in welding stainless steel
  • Production experience
  • MIG welding (desirable)
  • Self-motivated
  • Hands on personality
  • Flexible
  • Team player
