ROLE: Estimator – Electrical and Mechanical

LOCATION: Market Harborough, Leicestershire

HOURS OF WORK: Days

BASIC SALARY: £60K – £80K D.O.E

We are working with an industry-leading company based in Northamptonshire, specialising in electrical, plumbing and heating services.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in both Electrical and Mechanical services to join their dynamic team.

Your responsibilities as an Estimator:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for electrical and mechanical installation projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications and other documents to prepare accurate pricing
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes
• Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions
• Assist in risk analysis and evaluation of tender documentation
• Attend pre- and post-tender meetings as required
• Support project handover to operations team, providing clarity on costs and scope
• Work to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy

To be successful as an Estimator you will have:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in Electrical and Mechanical services
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in estimating software and MS Office (Excel in particular)
• Full UK driving licence
