ROLE: Assembly Operative LOCATION: Wellingborough HOURS OF WORK: Days BASIC SALARY: £14.25 per hour Company Profile We work with an industry-leading company based in Wellingborough, renowned for their commitment to quality and excellence. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Assembly Operative to join their dynamic team. Your responsibilities as an Assembly Operative: * To carry out assembly and materials control * To acquire the knowledge from the build manuals and skills for assembling and testing the complete size / range of components ensuring the necessary quality standards are achieved * To assist in other production related tasks, when required by the line team leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department * To assist Production engineering department in developing and maintaining assembly shop floor documentation & electronic documentation. * To work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE * To maintain all assembly tools and keep equipment in good working condition and keep the workstations tidy / organised in line with company housekeeping standards * To assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products To be successful as an Assembly Operative you will have: * Good PC skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook * Minimum 2 years’ experience assembly related work within high technology production / manufacturing company. * Some formal training or, practical / theoretical knowledge of general engineering and / or assembling of electronic precision components.
