We are seeking a practical and reliable Facilities Maintenance Person for an organisation based in Woodbridge. You do not need previous facilities management experience for this role. We are particularly interested in people with a good general building maintenance background who are confident carrying out a range of practical repairs and upkeep. The Role Working as part of a wider maintenance team, your duties will include: * Carrying out general planned and reactive maintenance * Minor building repairs, including joinery/carpentry and basic plumbing * Minor roofing, glazing, flooring and path repairs * General re-lamping and basic electrical maintenance * Painting and decorating where required * Setting up and moving furniture and equipment * Carrying out routine checks and reporting any defects or health and safety issues * Maintaining records of work completed * Ensuring buildings, equipment and surrounding areas are maintained to a good standard * Assisting with general maintenance projects and room reconfigurations * Opening and locking buildings as required About You We are looking for someone who is: * Practical, hands-on and confident carrying out general building repairs * Experienced in areas such as carpentry/joinery, plumbing, decorating or general maintenance * Able to work independently but also as part of a team * Reliable and organised, with a good eye for detail * Safety-conscious and able to identify and report defects or hazards * Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern Hours The role operates on a rotating shift pattern: Weeks 1–2: 8.00am – 4.00pm Weeks 3–4: 12.00pm – 8.00pm The successful candidate will also participate in the emergency on-call rota every few weeks with additional payment of £150 per week.
