Our client, a leading provider of engineering solutions committed to delivering innovative products and exceptional service is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to join their team and drive their growth and develop their distributorship. Based in Ipswich, the successful candidate will be developing their distributorship, responding to customers enquiries, providing technical quotations and customer training.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the industrial equipment product range and identifying new sales opportunities
  • Prospecting, quoting, and securing new equipment sales and service packages
  • Maintaining and growing customer service agreements, including bespoke customer specific packages
  • Responding to customer technical enquiries and providing expert advice
  • Producing cost estimates and technical quotations
  • Identifying opportunities across additional product ranges
  • Working closely with operations, design, and engineering teams to support product development
  • Attending weekly operations meetings and supporting internal collaboration
  • Assisting with the preparation of production and maintenance manuals
  • Providing support across the sales and service teams when required

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 NVQ, National Diploma, A-Level equivalent, or completed engineering apprenticeship
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a technical sales or service-based engineering role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and procedures
