We are recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a growing manufacturing business. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring materials, suppliers, inventory, and logistics operations support the efficient delivery of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the company's supply chain strategy and processes
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers
  • Build strong supplier relationships and manage supplier performance
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimising excess stock
  • Monitor and report on supply chain KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee purchasing activities and ensure timely processing of requisitions
  • Manage third-party logistics providers and stock holdings
  • Lead, develop, and support the Supply Chain Administration team
  • Work closely with Operations, Production, Planning, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to ensure smooth business operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function

Skills & Experience Required

  • Significant experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, or Logistics Management
  • Proven track record of supplier sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management
  • Experience managing inventory, stock control, and supply chain performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
  • Previous experience leading and developing a team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability

Desirable

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related discipline
  • CIPS qualification or working towards professional procurement qualifications
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
