A leading engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Tendering Engineer to join its engineering and manufacturing business based near Ipswich. Working with customers across industrial, infrastructure marine and defence sectors, this is a varied role where no two projects are the same.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders and technical proposals for bespoke engineering projects. Working closely with sales, engineering and procurement teams, you will prepare quotations, cost estimates and pricing schedules, ensuring customer requirements are met while maintaining commercial margins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare professional tender documents and technical proposals.
  • Review customer specifications and drawings to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement and sales teams to gather technical and commercial information.
  • Produce accurate costings and pricing schedules.
  • Manage tender deadlines and support customer enquiries throughout the bid process.
  • Maintain tender documentation and records.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Tendering, Estimating or Proposals role within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Ideally from a power generation, mechanical or electro-mechanical background.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written communication skills.
