Engineering Operations Manager in Ipswich

Engineering Operations Manager We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing engineering and manufacturing business based near Ipswich, who are looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Operations Manager. Working closely with the senior management team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the business, overseeing production, assembly, fabrication, testing, stores, logistics and facilities. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations. * Oversee production planning, capacity and resource allocation. * Ensure production targets, quality standards and customer delivery requirements are achieved. * Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the operation. * Manage operational costs, budgets and workforce utilisation. * Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. * Work closely with QHSE to maintain high standards of quality, health and safety. * Lead, motivate and develop operational teams. * Resolve production issues and implement effective corrective actions. About You You will have proven experience in an Operations Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar senior management role, from within an engineering or manufacturing environment. You will have strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes, together with experience managing teams, budgets and operational performance. Experience within either engineering or industrial manufacturing required, knowledge of electrical equipment or diesel engines advantageous. Knowledge of ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, NEBOSH or IOSH would also be beneficial. Hours & Benefits Monday–Thursday 7.30am–4.00pm and Friday 7.30am–1.00pm (37.5 hours per week).
