This is a great opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who is ready to step away from site work and into an office-based role — while still using their practical knowledge every day. Due to continued growth, we are looking for someone with a hands-on background in building services or construction to support the day-to-day running of maintenance and small works projects. This role will really suit someone who understands how small maintenance jobs are priced, what materials are needed and who now wants more stability, regular hours, and long-term progression.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking job enquiries by phone and email
- Pricing small maintenance and remedial works
- Sourcing material prices from suppliers and merchants
- Preparing clear, accurate quotations
- Ordering materials and arranging deliveries
- Handling job paperwork, invoices, and system updates
- Supporting engineers and project teams with day-to-day operations
What we’re looking for:
- A trade or multi-trade background (e.g. electrical, plumbing, maintenance, building services, facilities, or similar)
- Experience pricing jobs, ordering materials, or dealing with suppliers
- Good basic IT skills (Outlook, emails, spreadsheets) — training provided on internal systems
- Confident speaking to customers, suppliers, and engineers
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
Why this role works for tradespeople:
- No tools, no site work
- Monday–Friday, regular hours
- Use your trade knowledge without the physical wear and tear
- Long-term, stable office-based position
- Clear opportunity to develop estimating and operations skills
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Previous estimating or quoting experience
- Experience moving from site to office
Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
Salary: £29K – £32K
This is a great opportunity to join a modern, forward-thinking organisation that values its people, prioritises staff wellbeing, and offers excellent benefits within a small, friendly team and a pleasant working environment.
