CNC Machinist

Our Ipswich-based client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a permanent position within their maintenance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC lathes to machine components to precise tolerances. Key Responsibilities: * Operate CNC machinery within a rotating shift pattern * Learn to operate additional machinery and equipment, including forklift trucks, cranes, and other plant equipment (training provided) * Perform basic preventive maintenance on CNC machines * Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe working environment * Accurately complete all required documentation and records using the in-house system * Comply with health and safety policies, as well as local and technical standards Applicant must: * Have proven experience operating CNC machines, ideally within a mechanical maintenance environment * Be comfortable working to tight tolerances * Have a full UK driving licence required Salary: £40,000 per annum Shift pattern: Rotating shifts (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, and 10pm–6am), Monday to Friday Competitive pension scheme Life assurance (after qualifying period) Additional benefits package available…
