Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00, 36.25 hours per week

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 and up to 20% bonus and benefits

Location: Flexible – hybrid work from either our Blackpool or Cardiff office

Your team: Collaborators in change

The Procurement Business Partner will play a crucial role in supporting Procurement and Supplier Management team in ensuring that third party suppliers are performing in line with their contractual obligations and providing value for money to the Bank from a commercial perspective. This position reports to the Procurement Manager and works closely with the Head of Procurement.

Your Impact: Building a sustainable tomorrow

  • Acting as a Business Partner to key stakeholders across the organisation who rely on third party suppliers to deliver and support their business operations.
  • Rolling out and supporting the new Supplier Management Framework across the organisation.
  • Coordinating weekly/monthly meetings with stakeholders to cover supplier performance, commercial/cost matters, contract and service changes and renewals.
  • Supporting the wider Procurement team in commercial contract matters.
  • Acting as the conduit between business stakeholders and Procurement to ensure that service delivery, contract performance and cost/value changes are all impact assessed from both a commercial and supplier risk perspective.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies across our third-party suppliers and working with key stakeholders to turn those opportunities into tangible benefits.
  • Contributing to cost forecasting and budgeting processes.

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience working in a Procurement/Supplier Management function
  • MCIPS qualified or willing to work towards that qualification
  • Experience working with colleagues at all levels of an organisation
  • Passionate about Procurement and the commercial management of suppliers
  • A team player who also works independently and is a natural self-starter
  • Experience managing changing priorities and ambitious deadlines
  • Strong people skills able to influence others for whom supplier risk is not their ‘day job’
  • Financially savvy with an eye for detail, able to review the budget versus cost incurred and challenge colleagues on this where needed.
