Responsibilities

  • Support the effective billing, administration and collection of Council revenues.
  • Provide advice and assistance to customers regarding potential discounts, exemptions and payment of Council Tax & Business Rates.
  • Be part of the team for all aspects of the Council Tax & Business Rates billing process.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, a commitment to customer care and proficiency in the use of complex software systems.
  • Work to tight deadlines while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Work from home with occasional site attendance (up to 40% of working time) for meetings and related activities (two days per month by contract).

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs grade A-C, or equivalent, and IT literate.
  • Experience in a revenues environment is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, able to thrive under pressure and capable of working in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to join a team and contribute to a positive and empowering environment.
