Housing Maintenance Operatives deliver high standards of maintenance and cleansing across the borough. With modern, efficient working practices, we have a multi‑skilled workforce, which delivers an integrated service. We are looking for committed individuals to contribute to the service and further improve the local environmental quality within Tamworth.
As a Housing Maintenance Operative, you will be required to provide the full range of both grounds maintenance and cleansing duties in accordance with agreed standards of service delivery and customer care. This will include the use and operation of various vehicles (for which a full driving license, to cover category C1, is essential).
Key responsibilities:- To undertake the full range of grounds maintenance and cleansing duties.
- To ensure cleansing and grounds maintenance duties are undertaken in accordance with agreed standards of service delivery and customer care.
- To remove encroaching vegetation, moss, mulch, leaf litter and bulk rubbish from alleyways, and remove bulk/waste from areas across the borough to include maintaining garage sites and drying areas.
- To empty and clear bins in the borough.
- To carry out weed control on hard standing areas.
- To undertake all corporate requirements on health and safety.
