Position Overview

Tamworth Borough Council – Estate Cleaner

Salary: £26,403 – £28,598 per annum pro rata.

Hours: 15 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday only.

Employment Type: Permanent.

Location: Castle Ground toilets, Staffordshire.

Responsibilities

  • The main duties include general cleaning of the toilet block in the castle grounds.
  • You may also be required to help at other sites during peak times to cover absences or annual leave.
  • You will be required to comply with the council’s health and safety procedures.
  • Some cleaning may take place in poor weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must be confident working on their own initiative and capable, as part of a team, of delivering the high standards required across the borough.
  • An understanding of COSHH regulations, basic cleaning procedures and safe systems of work would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be given.
