The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities during overnight hours.
This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within a supportive environment.
Previous experience in assisted living, patient care, or related fields is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
- Support adults with learning disabilities during night shifts, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the night.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed instructions and organisational policies.
- Monitor behavioural patterns and implement behaviour management strategies as required.
- Prepare and serve meals or snacks suitable for individual dietary requirements.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Document observations, incidents, and care provided accurately in accordance with organisational procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical or behavioural crises, following first aid protocols.
- Assist with light domestic duties such as laundry, communal cleaning and deep cleaning tasks on a rolling rota
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and reporting hazards promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, or home care is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration, behaviour management, and first aid certification is advantageous.
- Experience in caring for individuals with dementia, hospice needs, or other complex conditions is desirable.
- Valid driving licence is beneficial for supporting residents outside the organisation’s premises if required.
- Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience when supporting adults with learning disabilities.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting when necessary and assisting residents with mobility needs.
