Join Our Dedicated Mental Health Care Team

We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and dedicated individuals to join our team at a specialist care home in Market Harborough. We welcome applications from both experienced Mental Health Care Assistants and Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) who are passionate about supporting adults with mental health needs to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

About the Role

As part of our care team, you will provide high-quality support and care to residents with a range of mental health conditions and complex needs. You will play a vital role in promoting wellbeing, dignity, independence, and recovery-focused care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs.
  • Build positive therapeutic relationships with residents.
  • Support residents with daily living activities and personal care where required.
  • Monitor and report on residents’ physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Assist in implementing care plans and risk assessments.
  • Encourage independence, social engagement, and meaningful activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and colleagues.
  • Support residents during challenging situations, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and care quality standards.

Additional Responsibilities for RMNs

  • Undertake clinical assessments and care planning.
  • Administer and manage medications safely.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to care staff.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and external healthcare services.
  • Ensure nursing care is delivered in accordance with NMC standards and best practice.

For Mental Health Care Assistants

  • Previous experience in mental health, healthcare, social care, supported living, residential care, or a similar environment is desirable.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is advantageous but not essential.

For Mental Health Nurses (RMNs)

  • Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Experience working within mental health services, care homes, hospitals, or community settings.
  • Sound knowledge of mental health legislation and best practices.
