Teconnex are a global leader in providing engineered clamping solutions for the emissions market while investing in new joining technology. Teconnex have their UK head office in Bradford and have offices in India, Mexico, China & Romania with potential to travel in the future. Teconnex are looking for their next IT Support Apprentice to join their growing UK Hub.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users at the Keighley factory and remote support to users at the Romania, Mexico, and India sites
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimise downtime
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and networking devices
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as software updates, antivirus scans, and data backups
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices
- Assist with IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployment
- Understanding of computer networking terms and technologies
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Interest in keeping up to date with current IT systems
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to help others learn
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
- If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
Working hours: 8.15am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.15am – 3.30pm Friday
