We hold an active UK Home Office Sponsor Licence and are offering Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorshipspecifically for high-calibre UK university students finishing their studies or current UK Graduate Visa (PSW) holders looking to transition into a permanent sponsored role.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a versatile IT and Digital Specialist who shares our growth vision to join our team full-time, on-site in Middlesbrough. You will take hands-on ownership of our direct e-commerce website, web security, stock management software, and digital marketing channels.
In this multi-faceted role, you will work closely with our operational team to convert marketplace success into direct website growth, while managing UK GDPR compliance, data privacy, e-commerce operations, and technical SEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Growth & Digital Marketing:
- Lead technical SEO strategies, site speed optimizations, and CRO tactics tailored to converting site visitors into direct customers.
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, Google Shopping integrations, paid search, and direct website traffic strategies.
- Software & Stock Inventory Systems:
- Manage and optimize our inventory control software on-site to ensure seamless, real-time stock sync between our main website and external platforms.
- Oversee database integrity, custom scripts, and API integrations to streamline order fulfillment and automated inventory updating.
- Data Protection & UK GDPR Compliance:
- Ensure our website, customer databases, checkout systems, and marketing lists comply strictly with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Cybersecurity & System Infrastructure:
- Oversee website infrastructure security, manage SSL certificates, conduct routine vulnerability checks, and defend against e-commerce cyber threats.
- Maintain routine server/database backups, user permission protocols, and secure payment processing workflows.
Requirements & Applicant Eligibility:
- Working Pattern: Must be able to work 100% on-site at our Middlesbrough location.
- Immigration Status: Must currently hold a valid UK Student Visa (nearing completion or recently completed) or a UK Graduate Visa.
- Education: Must hold (or be completing) a UK Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, E-Commerce, or Digital Marketing.
- Core Competencies:
- Practical understanding of UK GDPR principlesand e-commerce data privacy compliance.
- Proven experience with technical SEO tools (Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush) and modern CMS/e-commerce platforms (WordPress/WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento).
- Familiarity with inventory control systems, e-commerce API integrations, and database management.
- UK Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship provided (In-country switch for eligible UK degree holders).
- Play a key, hands-on role in driving a local Middlesbrough e-commerce success story.
- 28 days including bank holidays.
