Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards.

  • Develop customised lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Monitor student behaviour and implement appropriate classroom management strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop school-wide initiatives and share best practices.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programmes as required.
  • Support students in developing problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning.

Requirements

  • A recognised qualification in Education or Mathematics (e. g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary or primary level is desirable but not essential; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan lessons effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate students.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
  • Knowledge of current educational technology tools and resources is advantageous.
