As the SEND Data & Intelligence Officer, you will provide high‑quality data analysis and support the use of performance and intelligence information across the SEND Service. Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of our SEND improvement journey, developing clear, insightful reports, dashboards and analysis using tools such as Excel, Crystal Reports, and other reporting platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems and data processes are robust, accurate and fit for the future.

We’re looking for someone who is both skilled and curious and loves making sense of complex data, solving problems and supporting a team through meaningful, timely information:

  • Highly skilled in IT, especially Excel (advanced formulas, data manipulation and reporting).
  • Experienced in data management, performance reporting and the use of reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
  • Experienced in using Capita ONE and/or IDOX (or similar case management or education systems).
  • Well‑organised, flexible and enthusiastic about supporting improvement.
  • Confident working on your own initiative, with strong self‑motivation.
  • A clear thinker with good judgement and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to communicate complex information simply to colleagues, partners and wider audiences.
  • Able to manage tight and changing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with other reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) would be an advantage but is not essential.

Values:

  • Compassion – Understanding the lived experiences of children and families.
  • Curiosity – Asking questions that lead to deeper insight and better outcomes for children.
  • Collaboration – Working together across services to deliver joined‑up support.
  • Conversation – Listening and engaging meaningfully with children, families and professionals.
  • Courage – Leading with courage, making bold and compassionate decisions that put children first.
