About the Role

Senior Residential Childcare Worker in a 4‑bedded children’s home, delivering 24‑hour care to young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Full‑time position. Work includes day shifts (with sleep‑in duties), weekends, UK bank holidays as part of a flexible rota, and occasional night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised, relationship‑based care to support the emotional and behavioural development of residents.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive environment and implement agreed care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated support.
  • Engage with residents, families and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements.

About You

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or willingness to complete within 2 years).
  • Excellent spoken English; a specified level of fluency required.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure required.
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding principles and practices.
  • Experience in residential or day care settings preferred.
