If so, we want you to join Team Tameside. This is an exciting time to join the brand-new Families Valued Service in Tameside which supports children and young people at risk of entering care. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to support our children and families with targeted and formulated therapeutic interventions.
At the heart of this role is our Heart of Support Practice Approach, underpinned by the 5 C’s: Compassion, Curiosity, Collaboration, Conversation and Courage. You will be supported by the Head of Service for Family Help and Families First Transformation alongside independent clinical supervision combined with a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and regular supervision to help you reach your full potential. About You
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is keen to continue their career and use their skills in working with children and families who require intensive support. It would be expected that there is expertise and experience of working with children and families. This role is based within a brand-new service that will support children and families who are at risk of entering the care system. This service will work alongside Child in Need and Child Protection Teams within Children’s Social Care in Tameside supporting those families who are at risk of entering care.
The practitioner will support children and families directly and also offer consultation, formulation and supervision support to others around the child and family. They will be responsible for supporting the mental health needs of the child and family and will consider any suitable interventions and support required. There will be an expectation to offer supervision to staff within the service and also to offer consultation and support to other agencies in order to improve outcomes for families in Tameside.
