The Role

We are looking for a Deputy Manager for a busy children’s home that provides 24-hour care within Children’s Residential Services. You will be working in a Children’s Home caring for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, and supporting the staff team alongside the Registered Manager. This role involves 36 hours a week, with on-call duties, as part of a working rota that covers evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays, and UK holidays.

Previous experience in a similar role is required, along with NVQ level 5 (or willingness to work towards this). While qualification to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services is an advantage, we accept and encourage applications from candidates who do not hold this qualification. We will support you to complete the qualification on starting in the role, which must be completed within 2 years.
