Our mission is to promote Data Standards that support Efficiency, Transformation, and Transparency of Local Public Services in the UK.
We are looking for three experienced and proactive Stakeholder Engagement Managers to lead and deliver engagement activity across each of the following initiatives:
- Scalable Approach to Vulnerability Via Interoperability (SAVVI) – iStandUK Programme
- Open Referral UK (ORUK) – iStandUK Programme
- Yorkshire & Humber Digital Partnership (YHDP) – iNetwork Programme
About each of the initiatives
- SAVVI programme: At iStandUK one of our flagship initiatives is the SAVVI project, which helps public sector organisations adopt consistent, ethical, and standards-driven approaches to identifying and supporting people at risk of vulnerability. This is a high-impact role, working nationally with councils, central government, data standards bodies, technology suppliers, and wider public sector partners. You will ensure stakeholders understand, adopt, and advocate for the SAVVI approach and contribute to its ongoing development through effective collaboration.
- ORUK programme: At iStandUK another one of our flagship initiatives is the ORUK project, which supports public sector organisations in adopting consistent, ethical, and standards-based approaches to improving how they use, manage, and share data to deliver better outcomes for citizens. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Stakeholder Engagement Manager to lead and deliver engagement activity across the ORUK project. This is a high-impact role, working nationally with councils, central government, data standards bodies, technology suppliers, and wider public sector partners. You will ensure stakeholders understand, adopt, and advocate for the ORUK approach and contribute to its ongoing development through effective collaboration.
- YHDP programme: Supports public service organisations across the region to improve their digital maturity, strengthen data capability, adopt shared approaches, and progress regional digital priorities through practical collaboration. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Stakeholder Engagement Manager to lead engagement, collaboration, and community development across the YHDP programme. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and strengthen a high-profile regional initiative that supports digital and data improvement across Yorkshire & Humber. Working closely with the YHDP Programme Manager and the wider iNetwork team, you will build networks, nurture relationships, and ensure that member organisations are well supported to engage with, influence, and benefit from the programme’s activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a stakeholder engagement strategy supporting programme objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, government departments, digital and data specialists, suppliers, and sector partners.
- Organise and facilitate workshops, roundtables, and community events, and learning sessions that enable collaboration and shared practice.
- Support the communication of project progress, outcomes, and opportunities through presentations, briefings, newsletters, and online channels.
- Gather stakeholder insights, feedback, and case studies to support the programme.
- Represent iStandUK / iNetwork at national events, conferences, and working groups, acting as an ambassador for the programme’s aims and values.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure alignment between engagement work, technical development, and programme objectives.
- Support adoption of tools, standards, and frameworks across the sector (SAVVI & ORUK).
- Support member organisations to make the most of YHDP opportunities, resources, and communities of practice (YHDP).
About You
We’re looking for someone who is a natural communicator and relationship-builder, confident working across the public sector and comfortable engaging with people at all levels. You will bring experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, or community-focused work, ideally within digital, data, or transformation settings. You’ll be able to explain technical or data-related concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, and you’ll enjoy facilitating discussions, hosting events, and presenting ideas in ways that help others learn and participate.
You will be someone who works well independently, can balance multiple pieces of work, and is comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments. For the iStandUK opportunities, an interest in data standards, data ethics, or interoperability will help you thrive in this role, as will any experience supporting organisations to adopt standards or take forward digital transformation. For the iNetwork opportunity, you will have an interest in helping public service colleagues across Yorkshire & Humber deliver better outcomes for the communities they serve.
Familiarity with initiatives like SAVVI, ORUK & YHDP is helpful, but not essential; what matters most is your enthusiasm for helping organisations improve how they use and share data to deliver better outcomes.
